Loving through the hurt

Loving through the hurt
There is hope to live a life of peace even in times of hurt and pain.
This is a sensitive topic I know. Do you believe that it’s humanly possible to love through hurt?
In life we grow up seeing all manner of revenge.
People getting back at who ever hurts them one way or the other,
We see children act out because they witness their
Fathers abusing their mothers and so on, and so on. But, when does it stop?
How do we change the ways of people around us? How do you as a Christian relate
To your Family, Friends and people around you?
By doing it God’s way. That’s how. As Christians we are called to love
At all times, love your enemies. It is indeed possible to live the way that God wants us to.

Matthew 5:44-48 “But I say to you, love your enemies,
Bless those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute
You, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven: for He makes His sun
Rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the
Tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you
Do more then others? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect”.
Characteristics of love from Matthew 5:44-48
• Bless those who hate you
• Pray for your persecutors
• Love everyone
• Be friendly, greet everyone.
Note: Will expand on bless, pray, love in my next blog about loving through the hurt.

1 Corinthians 13: 1-8 (NKJ)

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angles, and have not love I
Become as a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all
Knowledge, and though I have faith, so that I could remove mountain, but have
Not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body
To be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is
Not puffed up;
Does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, and thinks no evil;
Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

The topic to this chapter is very fitting The Greatest Gift
This is in fact the way that God loves. Love is Gods gift to mankind
Through Salvation. Salvation is when we repent by confessing that we are
Sinful and need God’s forgiveness. This forgiveness is made possible through the
Death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, He send His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ)
That whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life.
